In November, the ADAPTMET training network reached a major milestone by holding its first Annual Meeting at IRB Barcelona. This intensive four-day gathering brought together 16 doctoral candidates and 13 world-class supervisors from across Europe to accelerate progress in combating cancer metastasis—the cause of over 90% of cancer-related deaths. Through scientific exchange, professional skills training, and strategic planning, the meeting fostered a unified vision among its international partners. The week culminated in a “Frontiers in Metastasis Research” workshop, connecting the network’s young scientists with local experts and reinforcing ADAPTMET’s mission to transform cancer care through multidisciplinary collaboration and elite researcher training.
