Beyond its clinical goals, ADAPTMET is a cornerstone of European scientific education, dedicated to training 15 early-stage researchers in the complex field of cancer metastasis. As a key partner in this consortium, the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) in Vienna brings cutting-edge expertise to the program. Led by Senior Group Leader Anna Obenauf, the IMP team focuses on the critical intersection of the immune system and early-stage metastatic cells. By utilizing innovative tools like CaTCH and CaTCHseq, ADAPTMET provides young scientists with a multidisciplinary environment, fostering international collaborations between top-tier academic, clinical, and industrial centers to ensure a future of groundbreaking cancer discoveries.
